    Abstract
    For the target parameter estimation in MIMO radars in the presence of strong clutter, non-adaptive compressive sensing methods have a poor performance. On the other hand, the adaptive ones usually need higher data acquisition time. In this paper, we propose an adaptive compressive sensing method called L-BGT that has tolerable data acquisition time. furthermore, we have presented the essential changes in a distributed MIMO radar to exploit an adaptive group testing compressive sensing method

    Abstract
    In this paper, the problem of spatial error concealment for real-time applications is addressed. The proposed method can be categorized in exemplar-based error concealment approaches. In this category, a patch of corrupted pixels are replaced by another patch of the image that contains correct pixels. For splitting the erroneous block to different patches, a novel context-dependent exemplar-based algorithm based on a previously proposed segmentation method is proposed. The capability of the proposed method for concealment in diverse image regions is depicted.     Transmission of video over error prone and still bandwidth limited wireless channels demand high compression efficiency and resilience to packet losses and errors. Scalable or layered video coding applied to highly compression efficient codecs is an ideal solution to the problem. However, scalability reduces compression efficiency of the coders.     Recompression is a prevalent form of multimedia content manipulation. Different approaches have been developed to detect this kind of alteration for digital images of well-known JPEG format. However, they are either limited in performance or complex. These problems may arise from different quality level options of JPEG compression standard and their combinations after recompression.     Abstract
    Composite aluminum-SiC foam was manufactured by injection of air and addition of reinforcement particles into the liquid aluminum. Microstructure and mechanical properties of the Al/SiC foams were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and compression tests. Results showed that both the cell size and the wall thickness augmented with increasing of the SiC reinforcement particles; while SiC particles resulted in the reduction of the plateau border length. With more SiC particles, plateau stress became larger; but maximum plateau strain became smaller. The stress-strain curves exhibited serrations in the plateau region due to addition of the SiC particles

    ABSTRACT Compressed sensing is a new theory that samples a signal below the Nyquist rate. While Gaussian and Bernoulli random measurements perform quite well on the average, structured matrices such as Toeplitz are mostly used in practice due to their simplicity.     A significant step in color image compression is to apply a color space transformation to the original RGB image to concentrate most of its energy in one plane. Standard JPEG-based compression methods utilize predefined transformations like RGB to YCbCr. In this paper, a devised algorithm is proposed to optimize the transformation for each image. The algorithm iteratively increases the energy concentration by optimizing a novel cost function while limiting the matrix determinant to a bounded region

    Abstract
    This study presents the utilisation of neural-network for bi-level image compression. In the proposed lossy compression method, the locations of pixels of image are applied to the inputs of a multilayer perceptron neural-network. The output of the network denotes the pixel intensity (0 or 1). The final weights of the trained neural-network are quantised, represented by a few bits, Huffman encoded and then stored as the compressed image. In the decompression phase, by applying the pixels locations to the trained network, the output determines the intensity.     Cement kiln dust (CKD) is one of the most important waste materials in the cement industry. The large amount of this material, has encouraged researchers to propose new ways to recycle and reuse it. In this paper, effects of adding cement kiln dust to the ordinary Portland cement, on the physical and mechanical properties of ordinary and lightweight concrete were investigated.     The main effects of liquid compressibility on the dynamics of single bubble sonoluminescence are investigated via three different radial dynamics models. In order to precise description of the interior gas thermodynamics, a hydrochemical model is used. In the case of an argon gas bubble in water, the results obtained with the Gilmore model and the Lezzi and Prosperetti model are compared with those resulting from the Keller and Miksis model.     Artificial neural network (ANN) and genetic algorithm were used in this study to obtain a relatively high flow stress in compression tests for 304 stainless steel. Cold and warm compression were carried out in a temperature range from 20 to 600 °C, strain-rate from 0.001 to 100 S-1 and a strain range from 0.1 to 0.5. Optimum conditions for each case were obtained experimentally and were evaluated by the ANN model. The ANN model was used as fitness function for genetic algorithm.     Abstract
    In this paper a new context modelling scheme for arithmetic coding of Motion Vectors (MVs) is proposed. The model uses the correlation between the horizontal and vertical components of MVs to improve the probability estimation of symbols. The accurate probability estimation can therefore improve the efficiency of the context-based arithmetic coder. The proposed scheme has been adapted to the H.264 advanced video codec and the simulation results show that a considerable bit rate saving can be achieved in MV coding

However, the one-dimensional behavior of SMA has been mostly studied for the case of wire elements subjected to tension.     A study has been made to determine the influence of the carbon content on the kinetics of dynamic recrystallization and recovery as well as flow stress during hot deformation of carbon steels. For this purpose, single hit hot compression experiments at various strain rates and temperatures on two grades of carbon steel together with the Avrami-type kinetics equation and Bergstrom approach have been utilized.
