    Abstract
    This paper presents a matrix form model for determination of sloshing frequencies and modes in 3D liquid tanks. The governing equations of the incompressible inviscid potential flow are used to derive the governing boundary integral equation and then the boundary element method along with the collocation method is applied to obtain a matrix form standard eigenvalue problem. The sloshing mass and stiffness matrices are computed using analytical formulas which are given for quadratic boundary elements. Two typical examples are used to validate the introduced model and very good results are achieved in comparison with the exact results in the literature

    Abstract
    In this paper, a new computational technique is presented based on the extended arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian finite element model (X-ALE-FEM) in plasticity forming of powder compaction. An arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) technique is employed to capture the advantages of both Lagrangian and Eulerian methods and alleviate the drawbacks of the mesh distortion in Lagrangian formulation. In order to remove the limitation of the mesh conforming to the boundary conditions in this process, the extended finite element method (X-FEM) is implemented by incorporating discontinuous fields through a partition of unity method.     Abstract
    The architecture of a hardwired simulator for implementation of a discrete event-driven simulation of digital systems at the logic level is presented. In the design of this system, attempts have been made to utilize techniques of high performance computing to have a system capable of simulating the digital circuits rapidly. The centralized event-driven simulation algorithm chosen here, has the advantages of being efficient and conceptually straightforward.     In this paper, we describe an innovative method to model and solve spatio-temporal behavior of nuclear reactor cores via three-dimensional multilayer cellular neural networks. This method uses electrical elements and the existing duality between neutronic and thermal-hydraulic parameters of nuclear reactors. The relevant electrical circuit can be simulated by existing professional electrical circuit software.     Ab initio frozen-phonon calculations have been performed for k = 0 A g Raman modes of two superconducting systems Y123 and Y124. We have used the local density approximation pseudopotential method in our calculations by VASP code. Results have been compared with other computational and experimental data for similar systems.     In this paper, a new computational technique is presented based on the eXtended Finite Element Method (X-FEM) in pressure-sensitive plasticity of powder compaction considering frictional contact. In X-FEM, the need for mesh adaption to discontinuity interface is neglected and the process is accomplished by partitioning the domain with some triangular sub-elements whose Gauss points are used for integration of the domain of the elements.     Abstract
    In this paper, a new algorithm for solving the shortest loop design problem is presented. The shortest loop design problem is to find the shortest loop for an automated guided vehicle covering at least one edge of each department of a block layout. In this paper, first it is shown that this problem can be represented as a graph model. The properties of the presented model enable us to design a meta-heuristic based on ant colony system algorithm for solving the shortest loop design problem.     Abstract
    Modern search engines use link structure of the World Wide Web in order to gain better results for ranking the results of users' queries. One of the most popular ranking algorithms which is based on link analysis is HITS. It generates very accurate outputs but because of huge amount of online computations, this algorithm is relatively slow. In this paper we introduce PHITS, a parallelized version of the HITS algorithm that is suitable for working with huge web graphs in a reasonable time.     An analytical solution is presented to study the heat transfer characteristics of the combined pressure - electroosmotically driven flow in planar microchannels. The physical model includes the Joule heating effect to predict the convective heat transfer coefficient in two dimensional microchannels.     Nonpharmaceutical measures such as social distancing can play an important role in controlling the spread of an epidemic. In this paper, we use a mathematical model combining human mobility and disease spreading. For the mobility dynamics, we design an agent-based model consisting of pedestrian dynamics with a novel type of force to resemble social distancing in crowded sites. For the spreading dynamics, we consider the compartmental susceptible-exposed-infective (SEI) dynamics plus an indirect transmission with the footprints of the infectious pedestrians being the contagion factor.     Abstract
    Influence of length and volumetric percentage of steel fibres on energy absorption of concrete slabs with various concrete strengths is investigated by testing 28 small steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) slabs under flexure. Variables included; fibre length, volumetric percentage of fibres and concrete strength. Test results indicate that generally longer fibres and higher fibre content provide higher energy absorption. The results are compared with a theoretical prediction based on random distribution of fibres. The theoretical method resulted in higher energy absorption than that obtained in experiment.     A computational investigation is performed to study the effects of injection velocity on the main dynamic parameters of the fuel cloud released into the open atmosphere. The volume, shape, and growth rate of the cloud, turbulence intensity, as well as the distribution of fuel concentration, temperature gradient, and self-ignition induction time are the most important parameters determining the mode of combustion that propagates through the cloud.
