    , Article Energy Reports ; Volume 7 , 2021 , Pages 3149-3155 ; 23524847 (ISSN) Chen, X ; Paprouschi, A ; Elveny, M ; Podoprigora, D ; Korobov, G ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
In this paper, different injectivity scenarios were experimentally investigated in a coreflooding system to observe the efficiency of each method in laboratory conditions. Surfactant flooding, CO2 injection, carbonated water injection (CWI), active carbonated water injection (ACWI), after water flooding were investigated through the coreflooding system. First, it is necessary to optimize the surfactant concentration and then use it in ACWI injection. To do this, linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LABSA) was used as a cationic surfactant at different concentrations. It was observed that 0.6 PV concentration of LABSA had an optimum result as increasing the surfactant concentration would not be...

    Abstract
In this research, Ag-Al2O3 nanostructures have been prepared via combustion synthesis and ammonium acetate and urea have been applied as fuels. The prepared Ag-Al2O3 nanostructures were characterized by DTA, XRD, SEM, TEM, and BET spectroscopy. The effect of different ratios of silver to alumina and fuel percentage on morphology and particle size of prepared products were investigated. The results showed that using ammonium acetate fuel led to the production of Ag-γ-Al2O3 nanocompounds, while using urea produced Ag-α-Al2O3. Also, the photocatalytic activity of Ag-Al2O3 nanostructures for Congo red degradation was evaluated by UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The photocatalytic...

    Abstract
Semiconductor-based photocatalysis is an efficient approach for degradation of organic pollutants. In this context, ZnO/g-C3N4 composite nanofibers containing carbonaceous species with different concentrations of g-C3N4 nanosheets (x = 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 10 wt%) noted as ZnO/carbon/(x wt%) g-C3N4 are prepared by electrospinning technique. For preparation of the composite nanofibers, bulk g-C3N4 is exfoliated to nanosheets, and then it is mixed with polyvinyl alcohol and appropriate zinc acetate content followed by electrospinning process. Thermal annealing of the as spun zinc acetate/poly(vinyl alcohol)/g-C3N4 nanosheets sample under N2 atmosphere leads to the formation of carbonaceous species...

    Abstract
Mass transfer efficiency and catalytic reactivity are the two major hurdles for heterogeneous catalytic wet peroxide oxidation (CWPO) technologies. To address these issues, nanocomposite CuFeO2/Al2O3 was synthesized and assessed as a novel catalyst for enhanced adsorption and oxidation of anionic pollutants (catechol and reactive red 195 (RR195)) in waters. With a positive charge on the nanocomposite by introducing Al2O3, the adsorption of anionic pollutants was promoted. The surface complexation reaction on CuFeO2/Al2O3, which fits well to the Langmuir isotherm, has engined the mass transfer of pollutants to the nanocatalyst that demonstrated 96.46% and 99.75% removal of catechol and RR195...

    Abstract
Herein, we report a new strategy for improving the efficiency and reducing the fabrication cost of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) by elimination of the three- or four-fold layer deposition of TiO2. This is performed by replacing a single layer deposition of mesoporous TiO2 beads, with sub-micrometer size, high surface area and tunable pore size, synthesized by a combination of sol-gel and solvothermal methods. Furthermore, superior electronic properties gained by a reduction in electronic trap states are achieved through doping of pristine TiO2 beads with lithium. The beads have a spherical shape with monodispersed texture consisting of anatase-TiO2 nanocrystals and ultra-fine pores. The...
