    Probabilistic seismic analysis of structures with incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) is a widely used method to offer comprehensive evaluation of the seismic performance of structures. Although IDA is a powerful computer-intensive method, it is really a time-consuming procedure.     Endurance time method is a dynamic analysis in which structures are subjected to increasing excitations. These excitations are generated to be compatible with ground motions. Conventional excitation generating processes take into consideration the dynamic characteristics related to intensity and frequency contents of ground motions; however, duration-related characteristics have never been considered directly. In this study, the existing methodology is extended to include Cumulative Absolute Velocity as a duration-related parameter in the generating process.     This paper discusses the sensitivity of softening reinforced concrete frame structures to the changes in input ground motion and investigates the possibility of localizations for this type of structure in static and dynamic analysis. A finite element model is used in which the sections resisting force are calculated using a proposed differential hysteretic model. This model is especially developed for modelling softening behaviour under cyclic loading. To obtain parameters of the differential model the moment-curvature of each section is evaluated using a microplane constitutive law for concrete and bi-linear elasto-plastic law for reinforcements. Due to the absence of ground motion records in this area, a simulation of future events based on a regional seismicity information and ground motion model is necessary.     In the present paper, spatially variation input effects on seismic responses of arch dams have been studied. Recorded ground accelerations at the dam foundation interface of Pacoima dam during January 13, 2001 were used for the purpose of this investigation. A numerical finite element model was developed for dynamic analysis of the dam reservoir system.     This article introduces a new time-varying model to generate synthetic non-stationary acceleration records using the modified Kanaii-Tajimi model with time-variant parameters. The proposed method can capture two different dominant frequencies per time which makes it suitable for synthesizing the near-field no-pulse earthquake records.     This paper presents a new self-powered hybrid electromagnetic damper that can mitigate vibration of a structure. The damper is able to switch between a power-regenerative passive mode and a semi-active mode depending on the power demand and capacity. The energy harvested in the passive mode due to suppression of vibration is employed to power up the sensing and electronic components necessary for the semi-active control. This provides a hybrid control capability that is autonomous in terms of its power requirement. The raw data are processed by the wavelet-based denoising method, and results are compared with the contaminated data. The zero-crossing characteristics of the acceleration, velocity, and displacement time histories of the output signal are used to estimate the model parameters.
