    Abstract
    The seismic behaviour of a 4-story building is investigated under horizontal excitation of simulated earthquakes. The model has been constructed with a 3D sandwich panel system without any conventional frame system in four storeys on a shaking table. The building has been modelled before construction. Due to the table limit, the scale factor of the model is chosen as 1: 2.35 of a prototype. The shaking table test of the scaled model of the building is carried out under several ground motions to verify the safety of the system.     Abstract
    The Endurance Time (ET) method is a new dynamic pushover procedure in which structures are subjected to gradually intensifying acceleration functions and their performance is assessed based on the length of the time interval that they can satisfy required performance objectives. In this paper, the accuracy of the Endurance Time method in estimating average deformation demands of low and medium rise steel frames using ETASOf series of ET acceleration functions has been investigated.     Abstract
    Seismic response of a Single Degree of Freedom (SDOF) system containing a rigid circular cylindrical liquid tank under the earthquake excitations is considered in the presence of fluid/structure interaction. The governing differential equations of the system is derived considering the first three liquid sloshing modes (1, 1), (0, 1) and (2, 1) under different strong ground motions. The dynamic response of the system is investigated in the neighborhood of 1:1 and 1:2 internal resonances between the SDOF system and the liquid sloshing modes.     A nonlinear seismic soil-pile-structure interaction (SSPSI) analysis of fixed offshore platforms constructed on pile foundations including both vertical and battered piles is presented. The analysis is carried out in time domain and the effects of soil nonlinearity, discontinuity at pile soil interfaces, energy dissipation through soil radiation damping, formation of soil layers on bed rock, structural material nonlinearity and geometrical nonlinearity are considered.     Abstract
    The effect of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) on Park and Ang Damage Index in a Bilinear-SDOF model is investigated under seismic loading. This is done through an extensive parametric study. Two non-dimensional parameters are used as the key parameters which control the severity of SSI: (1) a non-dimensional frequency as the structure-to-soil stiffness ratio index and (2) the aspect ratio of the structure.     This article presents an investigation of multi-mode effect of tall buildings subjected to near-field pulse-like ground motions. Multi-story buildings are modeled as an equivalent continuum structure consisting of a combination of a flexural cantilever beam and a shear cantilever beam. The simplified model is subjected to near-field ground motions and the representative simplified pulses.     A new method for seismic analysis of containers in three-dimensional space is introduced in which the effects of both impulsive and convective components and their corresponding damping are accounted for in time domain.     Abstract
    In this paper, the dynamic response of the anchored and unanchored flexible on-grade storage tanks under near-fault input ground motions has been investigated. For numerical analysis, an oil storage tank with its content has been modeled with the displacement-based elements using a general-purpose finite elements program. The fluid-structure interaction has been taken into account using the constraint equations.     Abstract
    This paper discusses the sensitivity of softening reinforced concrete frame structures to the changes in input ground motion and investigates the possibility of localizations for this type of structure in static and dynamic analysis. A finite element model is used in which the sections resisting force are calculated using a proposed differential hysteretic model. This model is especially developed for modelling softening behaviour under cyclic loading.
