    Cavity-mediated stationary atom-mirror entanglement in the presence of photothermal effects

    Abstract
    We study stationary entanglement properties of an optomechanical system containing an atomic ensemble. We focus onto the case of the movable mirror strongly coupled to the cavity field through both radiation pressure and photothermal force. Exploiting a quantum Langevin equation approach we investigate the bipartite entanglement properties of various bipartite subsystems as well as stationary tripartite entanglement of the system. We particularly study robustness of the atom-mirror entanglement against temperature. We show that, even though the photothermal force is a dissipative force, it can significantly improve the cavity mediated atom-mirror entanglement

    Abstract
    In the present study, the roll bonding behaviour of Al-3003/Al-4043 and Al-3003/Zn sheets were compared. The bi-layer sheets were produced by a roll bonding process at different reductions in thickness and rolling temperatures. The joint strengths of the sheets were evaluated by peel and bend testing before and after supplemental annealing treatment. The peeled surfaces were examined using a scanning electron microscope. The results indicated that the Al-3003/Al-4043 sheets were bonded with higher joint strength and lower threshold reductions in thickness with respect to the Al-3003/Zn sheets.     In this research, ball milling of magnesium fillings with NaCl, KCl and urea was investigated as a simple way to produce Mg nanoparticles. Effects of feed geometry and milling time on crush mechanism and product size were determined. Optical, scanning and transmission electron microscopes were used to study the morphology of the products. Spherical charge particles were milled under argon atmosphere with 10 wt% cuboidal NaCl at 250 rpm for 50 h. With ball to powder ratio of 10:1, the average diameter of the product was 17 nm.     Abstract
    The widely accepted approach to the foundation of quantum mechanics is that the Poisson bracket, governing the non-commutative algebra of operators, is taken as a postulate with no underlying physics. In this manuscript, it is shown that this postulation is in fact unnecessary and may be replaced by a few deeper concepts, which ultimately lead to the derivation of Poisson bracket. One would only need to use Fourier transform pairs and Kramers- Kronig identities in the complex domain.     In this research, production of ferrite - martensite dual phase Steels with different martensite morphology was considered during transient liquid phase bonding of a low carbon steel. The steel was bonded using an iron base interlayer with melting point of 1443 K and 40 μm thickness. Bonding process carried out at 1473 K, under pressure of 0.5 MPa, at different holding time of 10, 20, 30 and 40 minutes.     Abstract
    In this article, we investigate Bohm's view of quantum theory, especially Bohm's quantum potential, from a new perspective. We develop a quasi-Newtonian approach to Bohmian mechanics. We show that to arrive at Bohmian formulation of quantum mechanics, there is no necessity to start from the Schrödinger equation. We also obtain an equation that restricts the possible forms of quantum potential and determines the functional form of it without appealing to the wave function and the Schrödinger equation. Finally, we discuss about the significance of quantum potential in the conceptual structure of quantum theory

    Cement kiln dust (CKD) is one of the most important waste materials in the cement industry.     Protrusion friction spot stir welding (PFSSW) was introduced as a novel method to produce keyhole-free welds of a drawing quality special killed low carbon steel (DQSK). The effects of welding parameters such as tool rotation speed and plunging depth were investigated on the mechanical properties and metallurgical aspects. The sheet/sheet joint interface of the welds produced by PFSSW was visible and non-planar compared to the conventional FSSW method.
