    Portfolio theory has found its model in numerous engineering applications for optimizing the electrical generation mix of an electricity area. However, to have better performance of this theory, this paper presents a new heuristic method as known modified artificial bee colony (MABC) to portfolio optimization problem. Moreover, we consider both dis-patchable and non-dis-patchable constrains variables and energy sources.     Abstract
    In optimum designing of wireless power transfer(WPT) coils, maximum efficiency and maximum power transfer capability of coils should be considered. In this paper, a novel technique for optimum design of WPT coils based on maximum efficiency with considering required power transfer capability has been given. Optimum selection of system parameters including coil and wire dimensions, number of turns of coils and compensation capacitor selection based on minimum weight of copper mass is also given.     Wind and solar power are known to be highly influenced by weather events and may ramp up or down abruptly. Such events in the power production influence not only the availability of energy, but also the stability of the entire power grid. By analysing significant amounts of data from several regions around the world with resolutions of seconds to minutes, we provide strong evidence that renewable wind and solar sources exhibit multiple types of variability and nonlinearity in the time scale of seconds and characterise their stochastic properties.     Nicanfar and Leung proposed a multilayer consensus elliptic curve based password authenticated key-exchange (MCEPAK) protocol for smart grid. They claimed that their protocol is secure against possible attacks. In this paper, we show that the MCEPAK protocol is vulnerable to the dictionary attack and an adversary can obtain the passwords of the appliances by eavesdropping the communicated messages in the protocol.     In this paper a reliability, emission, and network security constrained unit commitment (UC) with the focus on wind power integration is formulated. It is shown that clearing both energy and spinning reserve markets taking into account network constraints provides a reliable and economic solution for day-ahead operation planning of a power system with a significant amount of thermal and wind power in the generation portfolio.     A new resonance phenomenon is demonstrated in waveguide cavities, which simultaneously uses two orthogonal modes (polarizations). This resonance is formed by bouncing waves with similar handedness, between two simple anisotropic metasurfaces having a relative rotation angle. The rotated anisotropic metasurfaces can cross couple the waves from one polarization to the other at the cavity end.
