    In this paper a novel T type scheme for 1-phase direct ac/ac converters is proposed. In this topology, frequency changing takes place directly (without common DC voltage bus) through three converters that are connected in a T structure. Unity power factor and precise output voltage regulation is achieved through appropriate control of these three converters. H-bridge converters are implemented, as the basic unit, in each branches of T to make the proposed converter.     In this paper, a new method for designing procedure of Reward-Penalty Scheme (RPS) in distribution system is proposed. Being fair and adoptable in viewpoint of distribution companies (DisCos) are main superiorities of the proposed RPS. Established based on concept of the Yardstick theory, its application can ensure regulators that a perfect competition will be created between DisCos to improve the service reliability. Also, such a regulation scheme can be a key for power system decision makers in order to prevent the DisCos from decreasing service reliability.     Secondary voltage control is used to re-adjust the reference values of automatic voltage regulators of generators. The performance of the secondary voltage control strongly depends on pilot node selection. In this paper the two proposed control laws for secondary voltage control are discussed and then an immune based algorithm is proposed to solve the optimal pilot node selection problem.     In an ac microgrid, a common frequency exists for coordinating active power sharing among droop-controlled sources. A common frequency is absent in a dc microgrid, leaving only the dc source voltages for coordinating active power sharing.     We consider magnetic actuation and control of a spherical neutrally buoyant magnetic microrobot via magnetic coil setups and seek to design an optimal controller to reduce the required energy and coils’ currents. We showed that in currently employed setups, where the actuation frequency is few tens of Hertz, the nonlinear dynamics of the system can be well approximated by a set of linear constrained ones. The approximated model is obtained by consciously overlooking the rotational dynamics and the inertia terms in translational dynamics.     Multiphase Simulation of Frost in High Pressure Air Flow Systems with Pressure Regulator

    In this study, our objective is to simulate the growth of frost for humid air passing through pressure regulators. The study is carried out in two main stages. First, we use an empirical method to model the formation of frost for a humid-air passing over a flat plate.     In this research, 19 specimens of ultra-high performance fiber-reinforced concrete rectangular beams were made and their shear resistance was determined experimentally. The results were compared with estimations by ACI 318, RILEM TC 162-TDF, Australian guideline, and Iranian national building regulations. To compare the code estimations, the ratio of experimental shear strength to predicted shear strength was calculated for each code.     Widespread use of sensitive loads in industries has required the need for high efficiency voltage regulators in order to provide continuous and fast dynamic adjustable AC voltage. This paper introduces a new control strategy to improve the response time and performance of a double stage switch mode regulator.     Abstract
    This paper introduces a high efficiency AC voltage regulator based on an AC/AC buck converter cascaded by a transformer in series with the input voltage. The AC/AC converter uses an overlap time in the gate signals to solve the commutation problem. Non-use of any snubber circuits and current sensors leads to lower cost, smaller size and simpler hardware.
