    Abstract
    This paper presents a study of the Taguchi design method to optimise the rate of electrophoretic deposition (EPD) of Bioglass® particles from aqueous suspensions. The effect of Bioglass® concentration, pH and electric field was investigated. An orthogonal array of L16 type with mixed levels of the control factors was utilized. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and regression analysis based on the partial least-square method were used to identify the significant factors affecting the deposition rate and its stability during constant-voltage EPD.     The interhemispheric asymmetries that originate from connectivity-related structuring of the cortex are compromised in schizophrenia (SZ). Under the assumption that such abnormalities affect functional connectivity, we analyzed its correlate - EEG synchronization - in SZ patients and matched controls. We applied multivariate synchronization measures based on Laplacian EEG and tuned to various spatial scales.     Microscopic visualization of a porous medium can provide valuable information to enhance understanding of pore-scale transport phenomena. In this work, a novel and unique approach is provided to combine experimentally measured pore-size distribution with theoretical statistical analysis to predict longitudinal and transverse dispersion coefficients.     Hydroelastic effect in bottom slamming problem of high-speed craft is one of the most challenging issues in structural design. In this paper, numerical method is used to investigate the hydroelastic effect in bottom-water impact analysis of high-speed monohull craft. Slamming with two viewpoints of rigid and elastic structures (hydroelastic effect) is modelled by coupled computational fluid dynamic (CFD) and finite element method (FEM) techniques.     The first-order reliability method (FORM) is a well-known procedure for reliability analysis in the engineering community. It provides an efficient way to calculate the failure probability of a structure. However, it introduces an unknown error in the estimations for non-linear limit states. This paper seeks a correction for the FORM by employing Monte Carlo simulation. The proposed method combines the efficiency of FORM with the robustness of the Monte Carlo method. The merits of the proposed method are illustrated through benchmark examples. Then, a method adopted by Iran's Basic Studies Bureau of Water Resources Management Company for estimation of GWW through 536 aquifers across Iran is presented and modified.     In this study, H4Ti5O12 nanotubes have been prepared as Li+ adsorbent by acid treatment of Li4Ti5O12 nanotubes. Li4Ti5O12 nanotubes were synthesized via a hydrothermal method in which TiO2(B) nanNotubes were used as a precursor. The prepared Li-ion sieve showed a significant high ion-exchange capacity (160.6 mgg-1) for lithium ions due to its large specific surface area of 115.4 m2 g-1 compared to the other related studies.     Abstract
    This paper introduces a wavelet packet algorithm based on a new wavelet like filter created by a neural mass model in place of wavelet. The hypothesis is that the performance of an ERP based BCI system can be improved by choosing an optimal wavelet derived from underlying mechanism of ERPs. The wavelet packet transform has been chosen for its generalization in comparison to wavelet. We compared the performance of proposed algorithm with existing standard wavelets as Db4, Bior4.4 and Coif3 in wavelet packet platform.     Abnormalities in the topology of brain networks may be an important feature and etiological factor for psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES). To explore this possibility, we applied a graph theoretical approach to functional networks based on resting state EEGs from 13 PNES patients and 13 age- and gender-matched controls.
