Measurement of the Relative Permeability of the Pre-Flush Fluid-Oil and Its Utilization in the Design of the Pre-Flush Stage in Carbonate Matrix Acidizing

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zeynali, Aysan (Author) ; Bazargan, Mohammad (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Matrix acidizing is a method utilized for well stimulation, aimed at enhancing well productivity. The initial phase of this process is the pre-flush stage, designed to displace formation fluids from the treatment area. Direct contact between acid and crude oil in the formation can lead to formation damage due to the formation of precipitates and emulsions, thus reducing the efficiency of the well stimulation operation. In this study, the relative permeability data of the pre-flush fluid-oil measured in the laboratory are used to design the pre-flush stage

Investigation of the performance of modified organic Rankine cycles (ORCs) and modified trilateral flash cycles (TFCs) assisted by a solar pond

    , Article Solar Energy ; Volume 182 , 2019 , Pages 361-381 ; 0038092X (ISSN) Zeynali, A ; Akbari, A ; Khalilian, M ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Solar pond is a type of solar collector that stores solar energy in the form of heat. The solar pond can be used as a low-temperature heat source for electricity generation. In this paper, to find the most suitable power cycle for power generation from the solar pond, the performance of the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), Trilateral Flash Cycle (TFC) and their modified forms with an open feed liquid heater and an internal heat exchanger for different working fluids was investigated. Water was considered as the heat transfer fluid which transfers the stored heat from the solar pond to the working fluid of the cycle. The results indicate that in all cases, the energy and exergy efficiency of the...

Developing an Integrated Production-Inventory with Defects in Production System

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Rezaei Zeynali, Fardin (Author) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In real production systems, the process is always bound with the production of faulty items which different approaches may be taken toward handling these low quality items according to the nature of the industry and product. Repairing, discarding or selling items in a secondary market are some of the possible actions. We investigated the essentiality of coordinated decision making between a supplier and a buyer in this environment hence developing a model to minimize total costs of two parties with an attitude towards improving quality of production system. In common two layered supply chains, the buyer defines the economic order quantity (EOQ) according to its own decision criteria. These...

    Abstract
Energy distribution to get more lifetime and noninterfering multipath are two major challenges in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs) routing. The Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) is a simple routing protocol which uses minimum geographic distance to forward packets toward sink node. However it does not consider energy level and uses single path. Geographic energy-aware non-interfering multipath Routing (GEAM) overcomes this problem by multipath routing and energy consideration, but keeping state of the multiple non-interfering areas has an overhead. In our proposed routing protocol which is called Energy Aware Greedy Stateless Geographic Routing (EAGSGR) we will introduce...

A novel approach for preparation of CL-20 nanoparticles by microemulsion method

    , Article Journal of Molecular Liquids ; Vol. 193, issue , May , 2014 , pp. 83-86 Bayat, Y ; Zarandi, M ; Zarei, M. A ; Soleyman, R ; Zeynali, V ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
2,4,6,8,10,12-Hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20) as one of the high energy cage nitramines has been used in various propellants and explosive formulations. The performance of energetic materials depends on its particle size and shape. Therefore, in this research, microemulsion method has been applied for the preparation of CL-20 nanoparticles via oil in water (O/W) microemulsions. The optimized formulation contains water 45%, n-butyl acetate 20.5%, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS, as anionic surfactant) 6.5% and 2-propanol (as co-surfactant) 26.5%. CL-20 nanoparticles that were obtained by microemulsion method are spherical with an average diameter of 25 nm, based on TEM image....

Location Aware Routing with Energy Constraint in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zeynali Gargary, Danesh (Author) ; Hemmatyar, Ali Mohammad Afshin (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The availability of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and possibility of sense and transmission of multimedia data has fostered the development of wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSN). Limitations of WSNs such as energy constraint and bandwidth alongside WMSNs quality of services requirements, causes challenges in routing of these networks. Many methods has been proposed to overcome routing challenges in WMSNs. Group of these methods transmit data to next hop by using geographical location of nodes. In order to meet QoS requirements of WMSNs as much as possible and reduce interference of routing paths, a new method is proposed. Proposed method is a location aware and nodes are aware of...

    Abstract
In the expanding field of tissue engineering (TE), improvement of biodegradability and osteoconductivity of biomaterials are required. The use of non-toxic reagents during manufacturing processes is also necessary to decrease toxicity and increase cell viability in vivo. Herein, we present a novel approach to prepare hydroxyapatite (HA) nanorods from sea bio-wastes through a green and eco-friendly wet-chemical processing for bone TE. Highly porous natural polymer-ceramic nanocomposites made of HA, gelatin (Ge) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) hydrogels are then introduced. It was found that cross-linking of the hydrogel matrix by glucose as a green reagent affected all characteristics of...
