Abstract
Probiotics are defined as essential live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. In order to provide health benefits for probiotic bacteria it has been recommended that they must be present at a minimum level of 106 CFU/g of food product or 107 CFU/g at point of delivery or be eaten in sufficient amounts to yield a daily intake of 108 CFU. Abstract
Minimum miscibility pressure (MMP) is a key parameter for successful gas injection process in the oil reservoirs for more oil recovery. This parameter is critically dependent on the reservoir condition such as temperature, reservoir and injection gas composition. There are many techniques used in the literature for MMP measurement. Vanishing interfacial tension (VIT) has been proposed recently and was used successfully to predict the MMP through pendant drop technique. Abstract
Removal of petroleum hydrocarbons from water is one of the environmental challenges. In this study the functionalized magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) was used to remove kerosene oil as contaminants from water. Effective factors on adsorption of oil on MNPs were investigated. Magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized on activated carbon derived from almond shell and after a coating by silica, it Was functionalized by NH2 and COOH functional groups.
