Stabilization of 2-(4-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl) on the Magnetic Nano Particle Fe3O4 as Suitable Ligand for Stabilization of Cu (II) and Use It in the Huisgen's Reaction & The Readuction of Nitro Compounds in the Presence of Gold Nanoparticles Immobilized on Magnetic Nanoparticle Fe3O4 Functionalized with Ionic Liquid
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Matloubi Moghaddam, Firouz (Supervisor)
Abstract
A novel magnetic heterogeneous copper catalyst was synthesized by immobilization ofcopper ion onto the triazole functionalized Fe3O4. The catalyst was fully characterized by FTIR, TGA, CHN, SEM, TEM, EDX and atomic adsorption spectroscopy. The resulting catalystwas used in the synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles via one-pot three component reaction of alkynes, alkyl halides, sodium azides under green condition. The catalyst was reused for ten times andno significant loss of activity was observed. Supported gold (III) on poly(ionic liquid) coated on magnetic nanoparticles produced a highly active, stablerecoverable and high loading for the synthesis of propargylamines (A3 coupling reaction) under...
The Interaction Study of Thio-Organophosphate Pesticides with Colloidal Silver Nanoparticles for Colorimetric Sensing Applications
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Hormozi-Nezhad, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Pesticides are broadly applied in croplands, glasshouses, and orchards in order to increase agricultural products and their quality. Among the variety of pesticides, organophosphorus pesticides (OPs), possessing high insecticidal activity, acute toxicity and relatively short environmental persistence, have been widely used for pest control in agriculture. However, this effect might lead to adverse health impacts or death for mammals and humans. Thus, even at trace levels, it is of great importance to develop a simple, sensitive, inexpensive and real-time detection method for monitoring the levels of pesticides in the environment, foodstuffs and biological samples. The integration of metallic...
The Immobilization of Saccharides onto the Magnetic Nanoparticles of Fe3O4 and its Application as an Efficient Ligand for Support and Stabilization of Metallic Cations in Organic Reactions such as Synthesis of 1, 2, 3-Triazoles & 2-Substituted Benzoxazoles
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Matlubi Moghaddam، Firouz (Supervisor)
Abstract
One of the most challengeable topic in the field of green chemistry is the synthesis of organic structure in water. In this project immobilized glucose on Fe3O4 was prepared as a nano heterogeneous dispersive catalyst in water. The catalyst was fully characterized by FT-IR, TGA, CHN, SEM, EDX and atomic absorption spectroscopy. The synthesized catalyst was used in the synthesis of different derivatives of 1,2,3-triazole via one-pot three component reaction of alkynes, alkyl halides, sodium azides; And to the best of our knowledge this novel catalyst coin sides to the principles of green chemistry. This nano catalyst can be recycled and reused for several runs without significant loss of its...
Application of Transition Metal Spinels in Carbon-Carbon Bond Formation in Organic Reactions
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Matloubi Moghaddam, Firouz (Supervisor)
Abstract
The ability of Ferro spinels to catalyze the reactions, along with their ability to become easily separated, has attracted many attentions. These Ferro spinels are synthesized in an efficient way and are used as a catalyst for carbon-carbon bond formation. Nanoparticles of Spinel ferrites, for instance three-metal ferrites, have unique characteristics and have very interesting and important applications in synthetic organic chemistry. In the first section of this thesis, synthesis and analysis of copper cobalt ferrite is considered. In the second section, several organic chemical reactions are investigated to evaluate the catalytic activity of these nanoparticles. Finally, the catalytic role...
Design and Synthesis of Metal Nanocatalysts Immobilized on Magnetic Nanoparticles and their Application in Organic Reactions such as Coupling and Synthesis of Triazoles
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Matloubi Moghaddam, Firouz (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, heterogenous catalysts based on magnetic nanoparticles coated with organosilanes and poly(ionic liquids) were synthesized. These catalysts were synthesized by hydrolysis of tetraethyl organosilanes and other organosilicons such as 3-aminopropyl triethoxy silane and polymerization of some monomers in the presence of ionic cross-link agents. The synthesized matrixes were used to stabilize precious metals such as Pd and Au. The magnetic properties of the catalysts aid to easy separation from the reaction medium by an external magnetic field. High thermal stability low toxicity and high-level loading of metals are some beneficiaries of the magnetic catalysts. At the end,...
Synthesis of Novel Heterocycle Spiroindoline-2-thion, Spirodihydropyridine, Pyrrolopyrimidine and Furocoumarin Compounds and Using New Functionalized Magnetic and Mesoporous Nano Catalyst for Organic Transformations
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Matloubi Moghaddam, Firouz (Supervisor)
Abstract
In the first section of the present thesis, a number of novel heterocycles were prepared; they include spirodihydropyridine, spiroindoline-2-thion, and pyrrolopyrimidines. The major advantages of the current investigation encompass high yields, short reaction times, mild reaction conditions and feasibility and low-cost materials. In the second section of this thesis, heterogeneous catalysts based on magnetic nanoparticles coated with organosilanes were synthesized. These catalysts were synthesized by hydrolysis of tetraethyl organosilanes and other organosilicons such as 3-aminopropyl triethoxy silane. The synthesized scaffolds were used to stabilize precious metals as Pd and Cu. The...
Designing A Colorimetric Sensor Array Based on Gold, Silver and Gold-Silver Alloy Nanoparticles for Detection and Discrimination of Pesticides
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Hormozinezhad, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Due to the widespread use of pesticides and their harmful effects on humans and wildlife, monitoring their residual amounts in crops is critically essential but still challenging regarding the development of high-throughput approaches. Herein, a colorimetric sensor array has been proposed for discrimination and identification of triazole fungicides using monometallic and bimetallic silver and gold nanoparticles. Aggregation-induced behavior of AgNPs, AuNPs and Au-AgNPs in the presence of four triazole fungicides produced a fingerprint response pattern for each analyte. Pattern recognition methods, including linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and hierarchical cluster analysis, have been...

Abstract
In this study, a 1,2,3-triazole-containing ligand and the subsequent zinc-based MOF were synthesized. Then, in order to investigate the role of structural similarity of analytes and sorbent on sorption efficiency, the sorption capability of triazole-containing MOF along with several other well-known sorbents toward selected triazole fungicides were tested using dispersive micro solid phase extraction (d-μSPE). In order to further investigate the role of structural similarity on the sorption efficiency, the performance of synthesized MOF in the extraction of other compounds such as triazine herbicides, organochlorine, and organophosphorous pesticides was also evaluated. As expected, the...
