  7. Abstract:
  8. In this study, a 1,2,3-triazole-containing ligand and the subsequent zinc-based MOF were synthesized. Then, in order to investigate the role of structural similarity of analytes and sorbent on sorption efficiency, the sorption capability of triazole-containing MOF along with several other well-known sorbents toward selected triazole fungicides were tested using dispersive micro solid phase extraction (d-μSPE). In order to further investigate the role of structural similarity on the sorption efficiency, the performance of synthesized MOF in the extraction of other compounds such as triazine herbicides, organochlorine, and organophosphorous pesticides was also evaluated. As expected, the synthesized triazole-containing nanostructure was significantly superior as regards to the isolation of triazole fungicides which more probably is due to the proper interactions. Several key parameters influencing extraction efficiency were optimized. These parameters included desorption solvent and its volume, agitation type in the desorption process, extractive phase amount, salt concentration, pH of the sample, extraction and desorption time. The whole method showed low detection limits (0.1–0.3 μg L-1) and wide linear range (0.35-1000 μg L-1) for five triazole fungicides. Relative standard deviations were between 4 and 8.5% and recoveries ranged from 73% to 111% in five spiked real samples (wheat, barley, tomato, cucumber, and grape). The results indicated the great potential of the synthesized MOF as adsorbent for the extraction of triazole fungicides from complex real samples and the structural similarity between the sorbent and the relevant analytes seems to be a suitable criterion for the development of more efficient sorbents
