  7. Abstract:
  8. Many technologies should be applied for transportation or consumption of natural gas. There are many different ways for transporting natural gas from origin of production to the location of consumption which the simplest way is transportation via pipelines but for transportation of natural gas for long distances, we can not use this method in this way we should apply other technologies such as converting the natural gas to the liquid state. For using this method, first we should liquefy the natural gas up to -162 degree of centigrade at the atmospheric pressure and then transport it with large cargo ships. By using this method, the transportation costs are decreased in compared with the pipeline transportation. In this thesis, first we study the chain of LNG and the common methods which are used for liquefying the natural gas; second we study the economics of LNG projects and the factors that influence on it. Third we study two methods of producing LNG and LPG as a separated and mixed products completely. all the benefits and drawbacks of each method were explained as well. In order to achieve this objective we compare different mixtures of LNG and LPG at different conditions of pressure and temperature by ASPEN PLUS software. In this purpose we use the sour gas of Phase 12 of the South Pars gas field which is one of the three phases that are selected for LNG projects as a feed. LINDE is the liquefaction license which is applied in this phase
