  8. Increasing of competency, urged organizations to perform their maximum endeavor for establishing effective communication with customers. Customers' demand for optional production along with minimum cost and time, has become a principle for many organizations. Organizations' general tendency for using project management methods in their businesses is increasing day by day and this matter necessitates research in various aspects of project management processes. Furthermore; outsourcing of activities and tendency to adopt contract methods, has persuaded organizations to use project management. For project-focused organizations, identification of daily changes in business theme and customer service offering is the most important principle. Basically, project management activities in such organizations are the most significant activities of the organization and successful fulfillment of projects in such an ever-changing environment will cause a plethora of challenges for them. Hence, for those who are involved in these projects, evaluating of project outcome i.e. success or failure in the project and a correct understanding of project's effective factors is unquestionably important. Since the number of organizations that organizing their responsiveness to their customers based on projects are increasing, in this thesis the performance and how to correct the performance in these project-focused organizations are considered. Today, project management performance system is mostly concentrated on assessment of outcomes, but the goal of this thesis is to research about project processes and development of these processes' performance measures. The performance management system has been studied in this thesis seeks for the following goal: Measurement criteria are an analytical tool for providing the possibility of systematic monitoring of project success. The goal is to find criteria which are able to evaluate correct project management activities during the project implementation and to facilitate comparisons between different projects. To proper alignment of general and detailed project goals, it is important to know through which way ultimate goals of the project and success criteria can be determined.
