We can summarize that outsourcing can not be successful in case of neglecting the said prerequisites in the section 2 , including identification of fundamental actions and not outsourcing them, evaluation of cost of actions, arranging powerful outsourcing team , the top manager support and the starting and target definition of these actions. In this case study, in spite of the cost reduction in some sections such as spare parts cost, cost of some contracts and human resources cost, in respect of line break downs in the end of the case duration, IKCO decided in-source the paint shop maintenance activities.
