- Abstract:
- In recent years, using the nanoparticles has caused a great revolution and development into the materials structure and the polymer science developed corresponding to important role of it in consumer goods. So Carbon Nano Tubes (CNTs) belonging to the precious physical, Mechanical and thermal properties has been studied. The CNT is mixed by mechanical and solution methods with elastomeric matrix. In this research the mechanical method used, because of industrial applications. Although, there are many challenges against dispersion owing to weak cohesion between CNTs and matrix in the mechanical method. The progress in rubber composites reinforced by CNTs and other reinforcement and as well as the effective factors on the reinforcing has been reviewed. Two grades of Carbon Blacks (CBs), i.e. N330 with low structure and Printex@XE2B with high structure for comparison with the improvement effects of Multi-Wall CNTs have been studied. This fillers is mixed with rubber matrix of Natural Rubber (NR)/Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) alloy and the rheometer curing, Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopic (FE-SEM), mechanical, Swelling and Dynamical Mechanical Analysis (DMA) tests have been applied on the composite samples. The results demonstrated that the mechanical and thermal properties improved in MWCNTs-filled samples more than N330-filled samples and this increasing is due to high aspect ratio and high specific surface area. But the XE2B-loaded composites had appropriate virtues because the high structures caused to formation the strong bound and occluded rubber around the desired filler. A modeling on the curing kinetics for predict of the time and rate of composite samples and Also the hydrodynamic and micro-mechanical modeling base on the theoretical models introduced for tensile properties were applied using experimental data
