- Abstract:
- These days usage of prestressed structures in civil projects are increased significantly. One of these structures is prestressed concrete beam. Considering of such charactristics as failure loads , maximum loads, ductility and occurence and extension of cracks in prestressed concrete beams are interested by civil engineering so in this project we try to investigate the effect of increasing in nonprestressed bars with different arrangements in six specimens.
The load enters in static way on each specimen and supports are simple. Considering the results of experiments, ductility increases significantly because of adding longitude and transverse bars and brittle behavior of speciments decreases in final load. In addition to the failure load, the maximum load that is carried by each specimen has close relationship with amount of bars that are used in these beams.
Arrangement of bars is the most effective factor that play important role in occurence and extension of cracks and arrange them correctly has the main role in diffusion of cracks. One of the other points in this thesis is usage of whole capacity of beams against applied load. It should be mentioned with existence of different cost of specimens and high skill for building of beams that we decide base on importance of projects which specimen is usefull and should be used as a main beam in structures - Keywords:
- Failure Load ; Crack ; Ductility ; Prestressed Concrete Beams ; Bars Arrangement
