  7. Abstract:
  8. One of the main applications of revenue management is in healthcare industry. By combining these two concepts, subjects such as patient allocation and scheduling and no-show rates were developed in the literature. Up until now, allocation and scheduling were considered separately in the literature. Also, no-show rates were predicted using regression models and data mining tools and these predictions were rarely used in scheduling systems. In this thesis, we combined allocation based on patients’ insurance type with scheduling based on patients’ no-show rates. Also, patients’ no-show rates were predicted and these rates were used in the proposed scheduling model. Firstly, the integrated system was developed using simulation models and tested under different scenarios. In addition, the results were compared to those of previous models. Secondly, the Mixed Integer Programming model was developed for the problem. The optimal solution of this model was calculated for some real problems. Finally, no-show rates were predicted using Adaptive Nuero Fuzzy Inference system. The results indicated that no-shows can be predicted with the error of 0.17 percent using this technique. The main application of our model is in outpatient clinics because patients’ no-show rates are high in these clinics. We believe that the applications of this model can improve scheduling systems based on patients’ no-show rates
