  7. Abstract:
  8. Turbochargers are industrial devices that widely are used in aviation, marine and automotive industry. Manufacturing cost and technology of their components vary according to their application fields. One of the most important components of these devices is turbine wheel, which needs to be solid, strong and have a high resistance in critical extraordinary conditions. In these days, it can be seen that superalloys are used remarkably in manufacturing of turbine wheels. When this part of turbine is damaged due to some different reasons, turbine wheel must be quit of circle Process according to repair instructions. In these conditions either turbine must be repaired or replaced by a new one; But high priced materials, superalloys in particular, and expensive manufacturing processes of this component are good reasons to repair turbine wheel instead of replacing it by a new one. This issue is more important in our country because of tight sanctions against Iran, which has imposed costly problems to its industry. In this project, a turbine blade of a turbocharger was studied in order to preparing a repair process. According to the type of turbine blade material and its physical and mechanical properties, stress and critical crack analysis of turbine blade are carried out a repair instruction by TIG welding prepared. Following, some non-destructive tests (NDT) were assessed and a shot-peening instruction in order to increasing fatigue life of turbine blade has been prepared. We hopefully expected that this project considered as a light and effective step on maintenance and repair of our country’s industrial equipments and properties
