  7. Abstract:
  8. One of the major and costly activity in Information Systems is controlling the quality of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) that has some challenges such as a long time is needed for detection and refinement of changeability of architecture qualities, how to quantify its quality attributes and variation in architecture changes. Self-adaptation of architecture is a novel automatic method that can be composed with architectural patterns to quantify and control the quality of SOA. In this paper, a self-adaptive framework, process and methodology is defined for this issue. Based on MAPE-K model, evaluation metrics by applying architectural tactics and final quality based on quality models and relations between subsystems are measured. Also, according to this model, architecture change with manipulation of architecture pattern and modification transference to the architectural patterns by using adaptation patterns, are applied. Moreover, the proposed methodology is integrated with SOMA to create a novel methodology. Finally, it is evaluated by some criteria to prove that introduced methodology and framework improve some criteria specifically adaptation one in contrast with SOMA. Also, this methodology is applied on a case study until display its practicability beside clarifies its activities
