Abstract:
This project aims to evaluate the performance of turbine generators of various kinds that are used in Manjil wind farm, based on the measured results over a period of operation and comparing them with simulation results of the same turbine generators. It also contains a comparative study with newer types of variable speed. The results of this study can be useful to examine the actual results of operation and design characteristics of the existing turbine, and also the possible advantages of using variable speed wind turbines at Manjil wind farm. Other goal of this project is to evaluate the performance of wind farm thorough turbines’ simulation results and measured result of plant’s fiders in a period of time. It is worth mentioning that performance evaluation in this project is just based on power outputs and other parameters such as power quality, performance in isolated mode and etc. are not considered
