- Loose parts in the primary circuit of a nuclear power plant, causing damage to the fuel rods and other equipment, so early localization and mass estimation of this pieces can provide context of safety measures for the reactor after an event.Acoustic signals emitted by the location of these parts provide enough information to estimate their location and mass. So with obtain time-of-arrival differences between sensors and sound velocity can be estimate loose part location. In this thesis signals of the sensors in Bushehr power plant monitoring system are analyzied. To estimate the loose part locations, the time delays between sensors must be calculated. The time difference between the sensors has obtained with different methods. It is difficult to find the arrival time difference between sensors in the time domain So, tried to find the time delays using the phase delay in the frequency domain.The main idea of the proposed method comes from the fact that the envelopes of the arrival signals to sensors are very similar, even if the frequency cross-spectrum are different. So, by using the time delay of the envelopes that obtained from the sensors, the loose part location has been estimated.the time delay of envelopes is proportional to the phase delay of the envelopes. So, in this thesis, the envelopes time delay is obtained by using the envelopes phase delay in the frequency domain.Different methods have been used to evaluate time differences between sensors. Frequency correlation of signals wavelet transform method has the lowest error even when signal contains noise
