  7. Abstract:
  8. One of the unusual features of some ceramic materials is the piezoelectric effect. The piezoelectric effect results from the linear electromechanical interaction between the mechanical and electrical states in crystalline materials with no inversion symmetry. The piezoelectric effect is a reversible process: materials exhibiting the piezoelectric effect (the internal generation of electrical charge resulting from an applied mechanical force) also exhibit the reverse piezoelectric effect, the internal generation of a mechanical strain resulting from an applied electrical field. In the last decades, many research has been done on the use of these materials for the self-charging low-power electrical system, such as sensors. so in this research, a new method is suggested for harvesting a energy from ocean waves. Consider a (cylindrical) shell as an enclosure of the converter which a heavy mass is located in the center of this. this mass connects to the piezoceramic elements with two springs and the piezo elements are attached on the inner surface of the enclosure. to optimize the present system a mathematical modeling of the system is provided here. According to the results of the mathematical modeling of the system one sample of the converter is constructed and under different wave frequency force is tested. In additional present system is numerically simulated in STAR CCM+ and COMSOL. A result of this part is validated with experimental an mathematical modeling and finally, the performance of the system is investigated in governing wave frequency of the ocean over the world
