- Abstract:
- Silver nanopowder is of great importance for various medical and industrial applications. Due to the significance of the solubility of silver nanoparticles in these applications as well as the high impact of the nanophysical morphology of the powder on their solubility, we prepared nanoparticles with plate morphology by the chemical reduction of silver nitrate in a soluble phase. Then we measure its solubility in a phosphate buffer salt, which greatly resembles the human blood chemically. The size and shape of the resulting nanosilver powder and also the use of non-toxic materials in their synthesis are important factors in the production of nanosilver powder. We confirmed the successful synthesis of silver plate nanoparticles with triangular-shaped with the side of 80nm and the thickness of 15nm with transmission electron microscopy. The concentration of colloidal solution of nanoparticles was calculated with inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy. Certain amounts of colloidal solutions of silver nanoparticles were added to a buffer saline with pH=7.35. The resulting solution was places in an incubator at 37 ° C for different durations and finally, after separating the nanoparticles from the dissolved parts using a centrifugal filter tube, it was subjected to an induction coupled plasma spectrometry to determine the dissolution rate. The results indicate that an increase in the initial concentration of silver nanoparticles with a triangular sheet morphology leads to a decrease in the percentage of dissolution. The temperature has a direct correlation with the dissolution rate as lowered temperatures lead to a decrease in the percentage of dissolution. The dwelling of the dish being dissolved also leads to a reduction in dissolution rates relative to the mixed state
