  7. Abstract:
  8. Researches on internationalization and export have categorized all factors as internal and external and most of them try to explain this behavior by studying external factors. Recent study in this field have shown that simply promoting specific behavior is not enough, and it is important to try to change the attitudes of managers toward internationalization. Utilizing Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this research tries to understand the relationship between attitudes of managers and internationalization behavior of an organization. the explicit objective of this research is to determine the factors which influence the organization behavior on internationalization (specifically indirect export). The study is based on apparel industry. An online questionnaire is used for gathering data from approximately 500 Iranian apparel SMEs. The responses from 52 participant were used for analyzing the hypothesis. The results have shown that perceived behavioral control has the strongest influence on indirect export intention. There is also support for attitudes influence on export intention. The interesting result of analyzing the data was meaningful relationship between normative behavior and export intention. Apart from these results, the model showed factors (beliefs) create attitudes, normative behavior and perceived behavioral control, that could be used for making policy to change international behavior of an organization.
