Retriving Grey Wastrwater by Biological Treatment and Aerobic Submerged Filters and UF Membranes

  8. Nowadays with the increasing population of the world and constraint or even water shortages, necessity of reuse the effluent of the treatment plants is further increased whearas the grey wastewater (wastewater related to bathroom, dishwasher and laundry). They are part of the household wastewater.quantity ranging from 65% to 75% sewage produced in the house is grey water. In many developed countries of the world the grey wastewater treatment and its use in non-potable wastewater like irrigation, car washing and toilet siphoning are commonplace. This wastewater is lower in COD and BOD than conventional wastewater but it still needs to be refined. There are varios methods including biological methods, reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, microfiltration, chemical and plants use for treatment of this wastewater. In this research, biological method was used by submerged aerobic filters and UF mambranes for wastewater treatment. In the first phase, using MBBR system optimum operating conditions such as temperature, soluble oxygen concentration and percentage of bioreactor abrasion 30 degrees celsius, 4 mg/l and 50% respectively. Also, nutrient removal efficiency is optimal for COD, Phosphorus and Nitrogen were 74.9%, 30.1% and 41.5% respectively. Also the highest removal efficiency for MBR system for COD, Phosphorus and Nitrogen were obtained 90.2%, 54.8% and 55.3%
