Considering the novelty of the method and creativity of the research that is detailed in the two papers [Mechanism and Machine Theory, Vol. 33, No.7, pp. 993-1012, 1998 and Vol. 33, No.8, pp.1135-1152, 1998], we believe that correcting the following errors appearing in these two papers would enhance their valuable contribution to this field of research. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd.
