  7. Abstract:
  8. The use of electric vehicles is increasing day by day due to the reduction of pollution, reduction of fuel costs, higher efficiency, etc. Increasing the distance traveled in each charging period of the electric vehicle battery pack and increasing the lifetime of the battery cells are the most important challenges facing the electric vehicle industry. In electric vehicles, Li-Ion battery cells are used to store energy, so to improve these challenges, we first need to carefully examine the behavior of these cells with the various conditions that occur during operation to design other circuits such as balancing circuits, Battery management system, etc. In this thesis, first a model is proposed that has completely and accurately modeled the behavior of the battery cell with different conditions. The following is a plan to improve the amount of energy stored in the battery pack and increase the life of the battery cells. This plan has two operating modes, in the first mode, it reduces the lost capacity of the battery set in the charging process by 7.7 % and in the discharging process by 7.3 %. In the seconde mode, it increases the lifetime of battery cells by 6.6 %. There are also two other ways to increase reliability that reduce improvements in usable capacity and increase battery cells lifetime
