  8. Creating any project requires investment, time, and resources. Many construction projects have failed despite considerable money invested in them. A common cause of this failure is improper planning. One of the most important parts of project planning is the feasibility study which is missing in many projects in Iran. However, the fundamental reasons that prevent construction project managers and owners from efficiently performing feasibility studies in their projects have not been investigated in the country yet. In this study, we aim to evaluate this aspect of the construction projects in the country by investigating the structure of feasibility studies in the building construction projects and exploring the effective parameters affecting these studies. A field survey method is selected for the research. A questionnaire is designed and distributed among 50 building construction experts to extract their experiences regarding applications of feasibility studies in the building construction projects. The achieved results indicate a low level of feasibility study applications in the construction projects in the country. The low level of feasibility study application is despite its identified importance by the respondents. Holding training sessions to educate construction managers on feasibility study applications, establishment of a working group and detailed study of feasibility studies natively in Iran and feasibility study implementation method is recommended by respondents to improve the feasibility study in the building construction projects
