  7. Abstract:
  8. Millimeter waves provide an effective opportunity to improve vision and imaging in addition to systems based on visible light, X-rays, and infrared, and researchers have paid special attention to the field of millimeter waves to develop imaging. The spectrum of millimeter waves is in the frequency between 30GHz and 300GHz, which is equivalent to the wavelength in free space, between 1 and 10mm. The advantage of millimeter waves is that it works well in different weather conditions. Also, these millimeter waves have the ability to pass through clothing and provide a suitable level of resolution in reconstructed images and provide a suitable ability to separate different materials from each other. Millimeter waves do not have ionizing properties and, unlike X-ray imaging, do not pose a risk to people's health. Imaging with these waves has a significant application in security and commercial fields, and the focus of this research is on security applications such as security monitoring of people in airports and places that need security. In the active imaging method, a millimeter wave beam is irradiated to the object to be imaged, and then the image is reconstructed based on the characteristics of the transmitted and received waves. In this research, the challenges and points of imaging with millimeter waves are stated; Then the image reconstruction algorithms in the field of location and frequency have been described and a new algorithm for image reconstruction has been presented by which the noise level and image resolution can be controlled. Also, the square imaging array has been introduced and its strengths and weaknesses have been investigated, and two new arrays have been presented under the title of random array and improved square array to solve its weaknesses, and their performance has been checked
