  8. Bread holds a significant place in the daily lives of Iranians, making the bread supply chain as one of the country's most vital product supply chain. The Iranian government has undertaken the responsibility of supplying the bread chain, and to achieve this, a specialized mother company was established. As a result, this company manages all aspects of this supply chain. Initially, the company's database and macro-policy objectives were examined to provide recommendations that align with its goals. One of the proposed suggestions was to optimize the extra-provincial transportation, which plays a crucial role in the supply chain. This proposal was chosen and thoroughly investigated. By utilizing machine learning to analyze the transportation data, an efficient model was designed to estimate the transportation cost per ton of cargo from one province to another. The optimized transportation model showed that significant reductions in transportation costs could be achieved if the supply and demand of each province were known, and the optimal transportation model was used to transport wheat between them. Furthermore, if the supply and demand of the province were considered on a monthly basis, costs could be reduced even more\textit{}. Therefore, integrating an optimal transportation model into the state trading company's decision-making process could have a considerable impact on reducing transportation costs and promoting sustainability. In conclusion, the company can incorporate such a model into its future plans to reduce costs, decrease the distance of the transported load, and contribute to reducing environmental pollutants and fuel consumption in the country
