  7. Abstract:
  8. In recent years, after the emergence of the benefits of optical wire communication, which successfully replaced electromagnetic technologies in some applications. Attention to wireless optical communication technologies has also increased. These technologies will also find their place in telecommunication systems after maturing according to the specific characteristics of light in the coming years. This thesis is a report on the implementation of a LiFi system, which aims to create a wireless local area network based on optical communication. Previously, reports have been written about the implementation of this system, but in this thesis, for the first time, the implementation of hardware that makes the modem support multiple users is explained. The analog structures that convert the baseband signal to light and convert it back to the baseband signal are not described in this thesis, and only the digital processing of the baseband of this modem is described in this thesis. In the first chapter, along with the preliminary explanations of the project, references have been reviewed and a summary of previous implementations has been given. In the second chapter, the system structure of all processing blocks is explained. In the third chapter, the hardware implementation of blocks related to multi-user support is given. In the fourth chapter, the tests that were performed to ensure the proper functioning of the system are given, and in the fifth chapter, the implemented modem is compared with the previous implementations, and suggestions are given to improve the modem
