- Abstract:
- Sustainable development is a general concept in all aspects of human life, including social, economic, environmental, etc. Since one of the pillars of achieving sustainable development is the optimization of energy consumption, and on the other hand, energy consumption in buildings accounts for one third of the country's annual energy consumption, so it is very important to provide solutions that can reduce energy consumption in this sector. Therefore, in this research, with the aim of optimizing energy consumption in buildings, examples in different climates of Iran are selected and effective strategies to reduce energy consumption are identified according to each climate and used to optimize the consumption of each building. Design Builder software has been used to simulate each building. Simultaneous production of electricity and heat or in short simultaneous production is the best solution to reduce energy consumption in the building sector. In cogeneration, the thermal energy produced in the power generation process can be used as an energy source for heat recovery. In fact, this system is a waste heat recovery system that reduces fuel consumption and increases the energy efficiency of the system. The combination of the simultaneous production of electricity, heating and cooling systems and the solar collector system is an example of the simultaneous use of high-efficiency systems and the use of renewable energy sources that can be used to supply energy to urban buildings to be used. In this study, the technical, economic and environmental optimal solutions and models for the development of the application of combined cogeneration systems with solar energy sources have been carried out in the case of the studies of the optimized samples of the previous stage
