- Abstract:
- In this research, the thermohydraulic parameters of the reactor of Bushehr power plant have been compared between the activation or not of the emergency gas extraction (YR) system by the operator during the LB-LOCA accident, without access to the active part of the ECCS. Bushehr nuclear power plant reactor is of VVER-1000 type and has a primary and secondary circuit, which is completely modeled in this research. After the complete review and understanding of the primary circuit and its systems, the information required for modeling has been collected from the existing documents of the power plant, and after that, the modeling and sizing of the heart components and the four main rings and the passive safety systems of the primary circuit, accident LOCA has been studied for 100 and 850 mm failures in the mode without access to the active part of the ECCS and with the activation of the emergency gas extraction (YR) system. In this research, passive safety systems such as tanks, accumulators, and emergency gas extraction system (YR) have been modeled. The result of the study shows that the power plant operator by activating the system (YR) during the LB-LOCA accident. Also, SB-LOCA without access to the active part of ECCS can control the risks and consequences of the accident, the most important of which is heart melting, and have more time to make the right decision. The sensitivity study on the time step shows that the best time step to converge the MELCOR code for the LOCA incident is 0.00001
