  7. Abstract:
  8. Recently, researchers interest in studying the resilience of production supply chains has increased due to the occurrence of severe disruptions in global supply chains, such as COVID-19. This study, through a case study in the Iranian automotive industry and based on the dynamic capability view and relational capability view as theoretical foundations, provides insights into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on supply chain resilience. Data were collected after the pandemic through 17 interviews with supply chain and production specialists and managers in the automotive industry who were directly involved in crisis management. Additionally, internal and external documents complemented the interviews. The results identified eight higher-level capability groups for building resilience in the automotive supply chains during the pandemic: agility, collaboration, digital preparedness, flexible redundancy, human resource management, emergency planning, transparency and visibility, and knowledge management, with each capability group supported by related capabilities extracted from data analysis. Finally, the findings are discussed, and guidelines for managers and future research directions are provided
