- Abstract:
- At building industry and other construction industries concrete process can be named as the most important part of making structure process, it is important because concrete is responsible of bearing compressive stress at the structure, and most of concrete quality depends on the curing after concreting. Concrete operation at the structure causes using other sciences like heat transfer science to increase the concert quality. Since freezing phenomenon causes serve decrease at concrete quality and the only way is destruction and repeating concreting which is very hard and sometimes impossible and also using chemical additive to decrease freezing point decreases quality and also is expensive. So the best way is designing a thermal dam to minimize the external transferred heat from the concrete. This dam can be designed by two or more layers with small gaps between them which are filled by a material with high thermal resistance and for best design. We must use both convection and conduction heat transfer laws. According to Iran Nano Society researches in this field using poly styrene and fiber glass to make these molds are suitable but since poly styrene is flammable and fiber glass is not strong enough at facing with compressive and shear stress, we should find a better structure. At this designing by using conduction and convection heat transfer and solving equations between Fourier and convection heat transfer on mold surface in two dimension and both Cartesian and cylindrical systems, we can arrive to least heat flux from concrete. Different solving methods depend on different boundary conditions. Using Duhamel theorem solves a lot of them. Criteria for designing these molds are: 1. Dimensions and geometrical shapes, 2. Material used to make layers, 3. Material used to fill the gaps between layers, 4. Chekin convection heat transfer, 5. Calculating biota number as a criterion to design, 6. Concrete temperature as initial temperature and surface mold temperature as external temperature (as one of determinators of boundary conditions). In this project we use Catiat software to determine total shape of molds and then by using Matlab v software to calculate stress field and temprature_space_time curve and by considering output data and checking thermal and physical property of available material we can design our considered mold
