- Abstract:
- The purpose of the presented work entailed the development of a simple, high throughput sample preparation method for determination of a wide range of veterinary drugs at regulatory levels in milk, chicken meat and egg. pretreating the veterinary drugs include SPE pretreatment was combined with sample homogenization, acetonitrile and sodium sulphate salt extract and precipitate protein, n-hexane removal of fats, centrifugation and filtration. To proceed this goal, titania / octavinyl POSS (TiO2 / OVP) nanocomposite was prepared by sol – gel method and it was used to coat the surface of commercial cotton fabric. POSS supplies numerous organic and inorganic groups, facilitating the hydrophobic interaction between the fabricated phase and veterinary drugs. Finally, the high throughput fabric phase sorptive extraction setup was used for the extraction of veterinary drugs from milk, egg and chicken meat samples and then detected and quantified by LC-MS/MS. To obtain the maximum efficiency of the synthesized adsorbent, the parameters of pH, ionic strength, type of desorption solvent, desorption time and extraction time were optimized. The dynamic linear range and limit of detection of the developed method for sulfonamides, β-Lactams, macrolides, trimethoprim and dexamethasone was obtained in the range of 0.011-3000 µg kg-1 and 0.011-0.2 µg kg-1 respectively. Relative standard deviation values for this method were obtained in the range of 0.2-10% and then the proposed method was applied to detect veterinary drug residues in 15 samples of egg, milk and chicken meat and the relative recovery percentage for two concentration levels of 10 and 200 µg kg-1 was obtained in the range of 85-114.8%
