- Abstract:
- The objective of this thesis is to investigate the application of graph theory in managing emergency evacuations of passengers from airplanes and space stations. Given the critical importance of passenger safety and the necessity for optimized design of emergency evacuation routes, this research aims to provide a mathematical and analytical framework to reduce evacuation time under critical conditions. Common methods in this field are typically based on costly and time-consuming simulations that require significant financial and temporal resources. Instead of relying on these approaches, this study explores the application of analytical and mathematical methods, particularly graph theory. This research utilizes the A* algorithm and multi-agent simulation in the NetLogo software to model the real behaviors of passengers during emergency evacuations. The simulation results demonstrate that the use of graph theory can contribute to optimizing routes and reducing evacuation times. Additionally, this study emphasizes the importance of considering human factors, such as social behaviors and passenger emotions, in the design of evacuation models. The findings of this research are expected not only to improve current methods of emergency evacuation but also to reduce the costs associated with simulations, thereby enhancing safety and efficiency in the aerospace and aviation industries. This research can serve as a scientific reference for researchers and designers in optimizing evacuation processes and crisis management, laying the groundwork for future studies in this field
