Thermal Analysis of Dry Friction Clutch and its Effect in Torque Transmission

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hasanpour, Hadi (Author) ; Kazemzadeh Hannani, Siamak (Supervisor)
    Abstract
For optimum designing of dry friction clutch, we should taking into account a lot of parameters, in order to the clutch have good efficiency in torque transmission and power train. These parameters include: the type of friction plate and the mechanical properties, Clutch geometry, diaphragm spring and its ability to make pressure. In this project, the goal is the analysis of effect of different parameters in clutch's temperature distribution and effect of these issues in torque transmission. In next step, the clutch's temperature distribution analyzed by changing the friction plate (ceramic), pressure applied and relative round in order to gain optimum properties of clutch. These works done...

An Experimental-Numerical Study of Penetration in Constrained Ceramic-Metal Structures Covered by Polymer Layer

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Eivazi, Asghar (Author) ; Naghdabadi, Reza (Supervisor) ; Sohrabpour, Saeed (Supervisor)
    Abstract
This thesis has been done in two parts. In part I,a rupture disc wasdesigned. The rupture disc is an important part of a gas gun and is used as a fast response valve whichburst at a predefined pressure. Afterdesign,it has been used instead of an electric valve to increase the maximum velocity that can be achieved by the gas gun. Toavoid fragmentation and to have a better control on rupture pressure,a groove isusuallygraved on the disc. Cross and circumferential grooves werestudied in this thesis. It was found that in most cases the discs with a cross groovewere not fully opened because they have four independent failure paths and these paths should be opened simultaneously. However, having...

Molecular Dynamic Simulation of Metal and Ceramic Nanopowder Compaction Process and Investigation on Effective Factors

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Babaei, Mahnoosh (Author) ; Khoei, Amir Reza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In present research forming process of nanopowders, which is a part of powder metallurgy was investigated by molecular dynamics method. Powder metallurgy is a relatively new method for production of industrial parts by pouring powder into die and compaction to desired density. One can reach parts with higher quality and strength by decreasing size of powder’s particles and entering the nano scale. Particle with smaller size have higher specific surface and due more intensity to react. Classic methods for investigation of this process don’t cover the atomic scale effects, so using newer procedures such as molecular dynamics is highly recommended. In present research, at first compaction of...

Perfromnce Invetigation of Eefa Ceram’s Factroty Suppy Chain via SCOR Model

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Roustaei Sadrabadi, Ali (Author) ; Eshraghniaye Jahromi, Abdolhamid (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Tile and ceramic industries plays a vital role in Iran’s economic due to significant added value and to be indigenous concerns. Therefore, in recent years huge investments have been performed by non-governmental agencies in this industry. In spite of high value of investment in this industry, efficient and updated management requires to reach the maximum output of the industry’s potentials. However, in recent years, supply has been exceeded of the demand in national markets. Moreover, the existence of the well-known abroad brands in the international markets has leaded to sever competition’s environment of this industry. In this circumstances, tile and ceramic companies to take the...
