  7. Abstract:
  8. Torsional vibrations of internal combustion engines and reciprocating compressors, is one of the challenges in the design process. It can reduce power of productivity, equipment operating lifetime and increase noise of the system. Torsional viscous damper is a method to reduce torsional vibrations in rotating equipment. In this study, three-dimensional simulations of torsional viscous damper is performed as a matter of FSI, with consider harmonic excitation on the external walls and calculation of damping response inertia ring in CFX software. The viscoelastic non-Newtonian model properties of damping fluid is calculated in MATLAB software with respect to viscoelastic parameters. For modeling the motion damping due to transient stimulation of the fluid that needs to solve simultaneous equations with the equations Navier-Stokes inertial damping rings of the RBS technique. Examination of the dynamic parameters, environmental impact and accidental oil film thickness, viscosity silicone oil and moment of inertia ring torsional damping coefficient damping of torsional stiffness factor is analyzed dampers. Simulation results show that with the increase in the oil film thickness and width, complex damping coefficient decreases. But environmental change oil film thickness was more effective in reducing the damping coefficient. With increasing viscosity, coefficient of damping torsional stiffness and damping torsional damping coefficient increases. It should be noted that the increase in the viscosity of a certain level, the effect of damping performance and not just price increases damping construction is finished. Although the increased moment of inertia ring torsional stiffness damping coefficient increases. The torsional stiffness is less than the growth rate of the growth rings of inertia moment of inertia and damping will reduce the natural frequency .This should be considered when designing the damping. Finally, three-dimensional simulation damping without the need to build a laboratory, helped designers in this area will And the results of simulations with experimental data shows a good match
