  7. Abstract:
  8. With the fast progress of nanotechnology, targeted drug delivery systems have been widely developed due to decreasing in the drug dosage and subsequently side effects of them into body. These smart systems are able to response to the surroundings stimuli. External stimuli in comparison with internal stimuli are more controllable, and can release drug at the targeted side in the desirable times. In the recent studies, there has been an increasing interest in the usage of LASER as an external stimulus due to high precision, short time response, and suitable practical function. For cancer therapy, several studies have been done by focusing on the hyperthermia effects of gold nanoparticles. In this study, hyperthermia effect has been used to interact with thermosensitive polymers, and cause phase transition on them and release drug in to targeted site. Biodegradability, biocompatibility, high prolonging circulation time in the bloodstream, and high capacity for drug loading are the features of a suitable drug carrier. Polysaccharides as natural polymers have been widely used for this purpose. Chitosan as a polysaccharide with cationic nature has easy modification procedures via amine group into its structure. Chitosan is able to act as a stabilizing and reducing agent in the preparation of gold nanoparticles during of a green chemistry method. The aim of this study is synthesis of smart nanocomposites from chitosan, functionalized with gold nanoparticles and temperature sensitive polymer like PNIPAM as nanocarriers in the form of nanogels and micelles. The addition of Fe3O4 and grafting of modifier polymers like PEG have been investigated. After drug loading (Azithromycin has been chosen as a drug model with suitable solubility, and DOX and PTX have been chosen as anticancer drugs), drug release profiles have been evaluated at different condition, biological temperature, high temperature and under light with special wavelength
