  8. The Oil and gas industry is one of the most important industries in the world. It has great role in Iran’s economy also. Regarding complexities of new companies, there is room for more cooperation and coordination within the industry and with other actors. Oil and gas niches have close interdependency with financial sector. The new encrypted currencies play great role in new financial models. Blockchain technology can help the oil and gas industry by using its appropriate features. Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. The supply chain of oil and gas industry in Iran includes upstream, midstream and downstream industries. The use of this financial technology can be useful and effective in for decision making on investment and managing the firm. In this study, first the various applications of blockchain technology in the oil and gas industry are studied and then the feasibility study of blockchain applications in the supply chain of oil and gas industry in Iran and scenarios in this field are discussed. In this way, at first, the effective factors and driving forces on the future of blockchain applications in the supply chain of oil and gas industries in Iran are determined by various studies and using the information of experts in this field. By using the Cross Impact Method (CIM), a questionnaire is completed by experts and with the help of MICMAC software, the driving forces are analyzed and the important driving forces in the future of blockchain in this industry are determined. Finally, using ScenarioWizard, scenarios for the application of blockchain technology in the supply chain are developed. As a result, this study analyzes the future application of blockchain technology in the supply chain management of oil and gas industry in Iran, using the "Revolution of Blockchain ", "Go ahead toward Blockchain " and "No blockchain" scenarios. According to the results of this study, it can be seen that the role of government policies and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) in the application of blockchain in this field is very important. On the other hand, the efficient laws for financial exchanges using cryptocurrencies and the use of smart contracts can have a great impact on the use of blockchain in this country, especially in the oil and gas industry. Finally, extensive research is needed to use this technology in various sectors such as renewable energies, transportation, and environment impacts of oil and gas industries
