    Sparse representation and consequently, dictionary learning have been two of the great importance topics in signal processing problems for the last two decades. In sparse representation, each signal has to be represented as a linear combination of some basic signals, which are called atoms, and their collection is called a dictionary. To put it in other words, if complete dictionaries such as Fourier or Wavelet dictionaries are used for the representation of signals, the representation will be unique, but not sparse.     Separation Control Using Quasi-radial Wall Jets: A Numerical Investigation

    Present research focuses on providing a reasonable solution for separation control through arrays of discrete wall jets. In this thesis, quasi-radial wall jet actuators have been introduced and theirs application in separation control (boundary layer control) have been investigated for the first time. For this reason, we set up two reactors having 1/2 and 3 liters volumes and then such parameters as pressure, reactor temperature, arc duration time, arc time interval and the working electrical current through the electrodes circuit, in both reactors were optimized.     This thesis proposes new algorithms for digital watermarking that are based on Independent Component Analysis (ICA) technique. First, we will show that ICA allows the maximization of the information content and minimization of the induced distortion by decomposing the covertext (in this thesis the image) into statistically independent components. In fact, for a broad class of attacks and fixed capacity values, one can show that distortion is minimized when the message is embedded in statistically independent components.     Let C(S) and C(T) denote the sup-normed Banach spaces of real or complex-valued continuous functions on the compact Hausdorff spaces S and T, respectively. A linear map H:C(T)→C(S) is called separating if, for x,y∈C(T), xy≡0 implies HxHy≡0. In the second chapter of this thesis, we will show that any continuous separating map is a continuous multiple of a composition map.
