    Abstract
    In this paper, a two-stage charging management framework is proposed to exploit the potential flexibility of Electric Vehicles (EVs). The aim is to reduce drastic variations in distribution system net load caused by integration of intermittent renewable distributed generation (DG) units. In the first stage, a home-based charging method is formulated in which the desired charging schedule of EVs is obtained by minimizing the cost of energy taking into account owners' preferences.     A high-performing, lightweight, and flexible asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) using NiCo-layered double hydroxide (NiCo LDH) supported on 3D nitrogen-doped graphene (NG) as a positive electrode and NG as a negative electrode is demonstrated. Highly conductive NG provides fast electron transfer and facilitates (dis)charging of NiCo LDH deposited on it. The composite electrode of NiCo LDH@NG exhibits a high specific capacitance of 1421 F g −1 at 2 A g −1 . Moreover, the as-obtained hybrid electrode shows an excellent rate capability with a specific capacitance of 1397 F g −1 at a high current density of 10 A g −1 , which is about 98% of the capacitance obtained at 2 A g −1 .     Abstract
    We present a geometric approach for fault detection and isolation (FDI) in robotic manipulators in presence of model uncertainty. A systematic procedure is introduced for representing robotic system model being affine with respect to faults and disturbances. The proposed residual generator has smooth dynamics with freely selectable functions and it does not require high gains or threshold adjustment for the FDI purpose. No assumption on amplitude of faults and their rate is used. The solvability conditions for the FDI problem lead to a quotient observable subspace unaffected by all unknown inputs except the faults. In this study, a novel process is utilized for construction of suitable membrane with a high mechanical strength and appropriate surface behavior. This paper investigates the reliability of machinery in job shop production systems, where materials, parts, and other production needs are handled by automated guided vehicles (AGV).     In this paper, we analytically and numerically investigate chaos in attitude dynamics of a flexible satellite composed of a rigid body and two identical rigid panels attached to the main body with springs. Flexibility, viewed as a perturbation, can cause chaos in the satellite. To show this, first, we use a novel approach to define this perturbation. Then, we employ canonical transformation to transform the Hamiltonian of the system from five to three degrees of freedom.
