Some philosophers believe that technology is not a mere instrument and has a value laden nature. In contrast some others count technology as something neutral which contains no social or moral value. TiO2 nanorods were synthesized with a simple chemical method. TiO2 nanorods, TiO2 nanorod/TiO2 and ZnO nanoparticle composite structures were integrated as photoanode in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).
