- Abstract:
- In this study new magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) methods based on Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) for extraction and preconcentration of oxadiargyl and fuoxetine from aqueous and biological samples were developed. In the first work, Fe3O4 NPs was successfully used as a magnetic nano-sorbent in magnetic micro-solid phase extraction (M-µ-SPE) of oxadiargyl, a newly used pesticide, from environmental water samples prior to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry determination. Oxadiargyl in mild acidic condition has tendency to be adsorbed on Fe3O4 NPs surfaces. Most important parameters that affect the extraction efficiency were also studied. Under optimized condition, the proposed method was linear from 50.0 to 500 ng L-1 with R2 of 0.9987. LOD was 5.00 ng L-1 (S/N=3) and LOQ was 30.0 ng L-1 (S/N=10) respectively, which RSD for three replications at 100 ng mL-1 level was 11%. Relative recovery in Zayande-Rood river water sample matrice was investigated, a value of 94% was obtained. In the second work new magnetic solid phase extraction method based on sodium dodecyl sulfate-coated Fe3O4 NPs (SDS@Fe3O4) sorbents for extraction and preconcentration of fluoxetine in aqueous and human urine samples prior to spectrofluorimetric determination was developed. Under acidic condition effective adsorbtion of SDS molecule to the Fe3O4 NPs surface lead to formating appropriate solid phase sorbents. A comprehensive study of the extraction and desorption parameters affecting the extraction efficiency was also performed. Under optimized condition the proposed method successfully applied to extraction and preconcentration of fluoxetine from water and urine samples. Finally the analytes fluorescence signal determined by spectrofluorimetry at ?em= 294nm (?ex=246nm). The absolute recovery amount of 85% was obtained, observed detection limit was 20 ?g L-1 and good relative standard deviation (RSD) less than 2 was achieved. The method had a linear response over a range of 100-1000 ?g L-1 (R2=0.9955). Relative recovery from four different sample matrices were investigated and amount of 105%, 98% 80% and 85% were obtained for tap water, river water and two human urine samples respectively
