  7. Abstract:
  8. In the building, can be used variaty of Heating, Ventilating and Air conditioning systems. Among the items that affect to select the hvac system can be pointed to building thermal demand and system energy consumpsion. simulation of this systems is one of the ways that can compare hvac systems in the building. according to Iran needs for preparation of software for optimization of energy carriers consumption in building proportional with existing matrials and equipment in the country, in this research has been tried methodology and modeling of hvac systems in the way developed that producted software is capable simply and practical for engineers be operational in a residential unit. In realy this study models primary systems such as chiller and cooling tower, piping and ducting network, and also heating and cooling coil in detail, and provided Fortran code has simulation capabilities of these components in a hvac system. At the end of this study, two systems variable air volume and constant air volume were simulated and were compared in a typical residential. results of this simulation showed that in analysis of cooling period, in the both developed economy and developing economy, VAV system in compared with CAV system not showed its advantage. In lif-cycle cost analysis of heating system, there was that in developed economy VAV system have apparent superiority and payback period 5.5 years. But in developing economy investment will be returned at the end of the systems life. also results showed lif-cycle cost of VAV system is lower than that of the CAV system at the end of the lifetime for two the cases considered. Another analysis was conducted This was heating and cooling together was studied. In this case, It was shown in the both developed economy and developing economy, the VAV system have appropriate payback period. In the other words in the developed economy and developing economy the payback period VAV system is 3.5 and 6 years respectively
