  7. Abstract:
  8. Heavy metals such as lead, chromium, nickel are considered as environmental pollutants. These substances are highly toxic and dangerous to humans and other organisms at low concentrations and many problems are caused by them. Chromium belongs to the group of heavy and toxic metals. Form 6-valent chromium for humans is considered a definite carcinogen and also creates other problems. One common method of chromium removal is chemical precipitation which caused a large volume of waste. Other methods such as ion exchange, solvent extraction, reverse osmosis and biological methods are used to remove chromium. Adsorption is another effective method with very few disadvantages compared to other methods. Removal of hazardous metal ions by polymer adsorbent is very important from an environmental perspective. Choose out a good quality, high absorption efficiency, easy to use and inexpensive polymeric adsorbent. The aim of this study was to investigate about the possibility of absorption of chromium from aqueous solutions by absorbing Polyaniline - activated carbon and the effect of various parameters on the adsorption of Cr (6 +) was studied. xperiments were carried in batch mode with studying variables such as the initial concentration of Cr (6 +), amount of adsorbent, adsorption time, initial pH value and temperature. The maximum adsorption of Cr (6 +) was obtained at 40 ͦC with an initial concentration of 15 ppm, with an initial pH of solution by less than 5 by 10 g/lit absorbing Polyaniline - activated carbon. Recovery operations were performed by the nitric acid and profit by nitric acid, 2 M , 83% recovery of Cr (6 +), respectively. The results Polyaniline absorption - Activated carbon can be effectively used for the removal of chromium. Langmuir adsorption isotherm model for single layer is validated. Adsorption of Cr (6 +) by absorbing Polyaniline - Activated Carbon Langmuir isotherm more to follow
