- Abstract:
- This study is aimed to investigate the effect of Fe3O4 nanoparticles in liquid membrane efficiency, four liquid membrane was studied. Due to the unique properties of ionic liquids have been highly regarded. Hence in this project for both ionic liquid and conventional liquid permeability and selectivity has been investigated.
One of the most important features of the liquid membrane is the stability. Performance of cyclohexane liquid indicated that it is not useful for liquid membrane. To improve the stability of the membrane of cyclohexane ionic liquid membrane is used as shielding.
Permeability of O2 and CO2 in five partial pressure in the feed gas (20, 35, 50, 65 and 80%) liquid membrane was investigated. the rate of permeability of CO2 is more than O2 because the carbon dioxide solubility in both liquid is more than oxygen. The results of tests shows that the effect of adding nanoparticle Fe3O4 (about 5% by weight) and an increase in the partial pressure of the feed CO2 on the CO2 permeability is more than O2. So these two factors increased the selectivity of CO2 / O2 greatly, but the influence of the partial pressure of the liquid feed to the transfer takes place through the mechanism -Nfvz solubility is lower.
